Hi all, I'm the creator of MovementOSC. I'm super excited to see that it's useful to you all.

First, @Armando, thank you so much for posting about it and sharing how you've set up Isadora with it.

I actually designed the "Bundled Message Per Axis" format with @princeCarlosthe5 specifically for Isadora, and we used it extensively in a residency at Jacob's Pillow a couple weeks ago to track dancers (both from archival footage and live), visualize the data, and transform it into a format suitable for a cable robot. I'm not an Isadora expert (yet!), but as far as I know you should be able to use that format directly without having to use the JSON Parser actor or do any other kind of string parsing that might slow things down. Hopefully Carlos might be able to share what his configuration looked like.

I responded to @jfg in the other thread about how settings aren't yet saved when you quit the application, but it is a feature I'm planning to add when I have some time.

@dbini, I'm glad to hear it was interesting to you, and I'd love to hear how your robotics students used it!

Are you referring to PoseOSC? If so all the info you need is on the Github page, including a link to the keypoint diagram.

There seem to be only 38 (max) tracking points.
Each seems to have a x,y, and 'score' value, so I think this is only 3*38 OSC values isn't it? Not thousands ☺

      @woland

Thank you for your time. I had installed the patch you mentioned. v1.0.1

What I found was the problem to be was - in the Isadora Plugins Folder, under the properties for the RokokoStudio Live Watcher, Skelton Decoder etc, the various .dll and .qtr files, their Attributes had been blocked by Windows 10 because "it was downloaded from another computer". I checked  on the unblock option and hit apply and - magic -  they are talking to each other.

      Big thanks Isadora Community.

As an aside Rokoko tech support advised to use Json in Rokoko's Livestreaming. That was wrong for me. JsonLz4 worked not Json. They also advised to avoid Mac.....??

      Thanks Again

      Hi there @Aidan,

We discussed this internally within the team and sadly none of us has a Kinect v2, Model 1595. The ones that have a Kinect V2 all have a 1520 model.

I have to say it works fine / has been quite robust on plays/installations that I did.
If you have any follow-up questions / want some advice let us know.

@dbini Thanks a lot for that idea. I would need to dynamically split the window to do that, since the dancer might turn in any place on stage. Maybe I could on one side find the blob center and use it to place the split and have several eyes++ running on different virtual stages. I'll have to check out some day. Unfortunately I'm not very constant in my dedidaction to dig into izzy.

I'd like to know if there is a way to capture a still from the Vimeo stream using the same actor used in this tutorial to mix the still and moving image in the effects mixer to create a mask.

Can you use the Capture Stage to Picture actor to grab a still image of the stage? The picture then becomes available to the Picture Player actor allowing you to use that still as a background?

@dusx yes, I have done this, libraries are not needed to do the maths, but on the end we can only draw with Euler.

So as far as I understand everything is useless ... thanks for informing me

       Hi,

With NI mate, using it successfully will depend on what specific hardware pairing you are attempting to use. There is a known issue trying to use a Kinect for Xbox 360 (1414) with NI mate 2.14 on OSX Mojave or Kinect for Xbox (1473) with any Mac OS. I started a thread on the NI mate forum indicating the issue with OSX Mojave about 12 months ago. The most recent response from the NI mate developer Jesse (Sept 2019) on that thread suggests that there is no fix for this particular configuration coming any time soon ...

After this response from Jesse, I think we can assume that anything that is currently broken in NI mate is going to stay broken.

      Best Wishes

      Russell

      Hi Lucie

As I understand it, your out min and out max values should be the min and max values that you would like, ie -2 and 2 for the movie player.
Try changing the limit-scale actor to those values and see if that improves things

      Woland

      Hello @symac,

Question: Are you currently working on building the Isadora Patch for this project yourself? I've been meaning to play more with the Kinect and skeletal tracking via Processing for a while, (since it has been on my ever-growing list for a number or months), so I could dive into building a skeleton of an Isadora Patch around your concept if you'd like.

From what I understand, your build is:

      Is this correct?

      Best wishes,
